Services are provided by physicians at UPMC Downtown.
The Corporate Health Program is run by two co-directors: Lawrence
D. Ellis, MD, FACP, and Anthony
P. Yates, MD, FACP. Additional doctors working with Corporate Health
clients include Mark Anthony Duca, MD, FACP , Debra
Horowitz Tabas, MD, and Neal
Zweig, MD.
PARKING AND BUILDING ACCESS
When entering Heinz 57 Center from Sixth Avenue: YOU WILL NEED
TO SHOW PHOTO ID for building security and sign in on the first floor
at the security desk. The UPMC Downtown Facility is on the 5th floor,
ONLY THE FIRST 4 ELEVATORS WILL TAKE YOU TO THE 5TH FLOOR. When arriving
on five, walk through the double wooden doors and proceed to the large
UPMC Downtown Practice registration desk. DO NOT sign in or sit down
in that waiting room. Ask to be directed to the Corporate Health Program's
waiting room. Ask for Judy.
Parking at Ariba/PNC Building:
UPMC has an agreement with the parking garage underneath
the
Ariba Building/PNC Plaza.
If approaching from Liberty Avenue (coming from the Point), make
a right on Sixth Avenue and another immediate right onto Wood Street.
Within a half-block, the Ariba/PNC Plaza Parking will be on your right.*
If
taking the Grant Street exit, from 376, turn left onto Sixth
Avenue, cross over Smithfield Street and continue on Sixth Avenue
to Wood Street where you will make a left. The Ariba Building/PNC
Plaza will then be on your right.*
*When entering the garage, take your ticket from the machine, follow
the parking ramp underground, and bear to the left. At this point there
should be a parking attendant. Identify yourself as a UPMC patient,
and the attendant will take your car. Bring your parking ticket with
you. After your appointment with us, pay $5.00 at the UPMC Downtown
Practice front desk for a parking voucher. Upon returning to the parking
garage, the attendant will retrieve your car from the UPMC designated
area. When leaving the garage, insert your parking ticket and then
your voucher, and the gate will open.
Parking at Smithfield-Liberty Garage:
UPMC DOES NOT HAVE AN AGREEMENT AT THIS GARAGE, but is an alternative. This garage is attached to the back of our building. Taking Grant Street, coming from 376, turn left onto Sixth Avenue, make a right onto Smithfield Street.
Halfway down the block on your left is the garage. Try
to park on the 6th floor. Next to the elevators, on the right, is a doorway that leads
to our building (and the entrance to the Duquesne Club). Walk through
the hallway and you will arrive at the
security door, this door is usually not locked. Continue through the hall until you reach the turnstile. To enter through the security check-point, there is a button on the wall to your left. Press the button and state that
you are here for a UPMC Corporate Health appointment.
THIS ENTRANCE IS AN "EMPLOYEE ONLY" ENTRANCE, AND THEREFORE,
BUILDING SECURITY MAY NOT PERMIT YOU TO COME THROUGH THIS CHECK-POINT
AND WILL ASK YOU TO ENTER THROUGH THE MAIN ENTRY ON SIXTH AVENUE.
IIf building security remotely opens the turnstile proceed to the
bank of elevators. You are on the 4th floor of the Heinz 57 Center.
Take the appropriate elevator to the 5th floor. Only the last
4 elevators, as you face them, on your left will take you to the 5th
floor.
This garage can also be reached by traveling
up Liberty Avenue (away
from the Point). It is situated right across from 9th Street (and the
9th Street Bridge). Enter and park on the 6th floor if possible.
Parking at Mellon Square Garage:
UPMC DOES NOT HAVE AN AGREEMENT AT THIS GARAGE.
You can easily access this garage by following the Grant Street exit
and making a left on Sixth Avenue. The garage is on the left before
crossing over Smithfield Street.
DIRECTIONS
From the Airport Area and Parkway West
Follow Parkway West/I-279 North and signs for Pittsburgh. Go through
the Fort Pitt Tunnels and over the Fort Pitt Bridge. Bear right
on the bridge toward 376 East. Follow this for a short way, moving
into the left lane, and take the Grant Street exit. Stay on Grant
Street for several blocks until you reach Sixth Avenue. Make a left
turn onto Sixth Avenue, crossing over Smithfield Street.
Our building is on the corner of Sixth Avenue
and Smithfield Street, with the entrance
halfway down the block on the right. Address is 339 6th Avenue, located
in the Heinz 57 Center building.
From Monroeville
Take 76 West (PA Turnpike) to Monroeville, then 376 West through the
Squirrel Hill Tunnels to the Grant Street exit. Follow Grant Street
to Sixth Avenue and make a left turn onto Sixth Avenue. Cross over Smithfield
Street and our building will be on your right. The Heinz 57 Center has
a metal awning over the sidewalk.
From New Kensington and Points North
Take Route 28 South to the Veterans Bridge, or 279 (if coming from the
North Hills) to the Veterans Bridge. When crossing the bridge, stay
in the right lane and take the Sixth Avenue exit making a right onto Sixth Avenue after passing the Steel Building (now known as the USX Tower). Cross over Grant Street
and proceed down Sixth Avenue until you cross Smithfield Street. The
Heinz 57 Center will be on your right.
